QUID (Beta)

QUID is Quick-UI with database support. Developed in Java that is intended to be widely useful, and usable across a broad spectrum of applications.

Why should an organization use QUID?

In a word, Productivity. Use of QUID speeds initial development, results in fewer bugs, reduces reinvention-of-the-wheel, and cuts long-term maintenance costs. Based on the revolutionary QUI, it cuts development and maintenance costs drastically not only in the development of visual elements but also in the development of database connections saving you up to 70% of project effort.

And all this without changing code! Just a few settings and you are ready to go.

Together with this we continuously innovate to enhance QUID and provide free upgrades and email support for a year when you buy the license so that you get the best.

What can QUID be used for?
Well, almost anything that requires a software to have a menu driven GUI interface and a database connection. This could be for library management, order management, hospital management, billing, supply chain management, special-offer management, remote interface, port settings etc. etc. etc.

Since QUID is based on the QUI, it
is so flexible that even after installation the GUI can be configured to fit the user of that system. Hence the configuration could vary per-system, per-user or per-user-per-system. Finalize your requirements and it is there for you.

QUID also provides a simple Query Viewer to let you test your query design "before" you use it in code. For those who are not very comfortable with the database shell or for those databases that do not provide a shell - the query viewer provides a simple and nice interface. From the test perspective - it saves incalculable testing time.

QUID provides all that QUI provides PLUS the power of the database and more built-in tools and APIs. Further to this, we provide you with free upgrades for a year when you buy the license and email support.

If you would like to develop the database components yourself, you could only use the QUI. But if you want to cut development time further by using standard components developed for the QUID by Io - QUID is for you.
